FREE CHILDREN’S CLUBS
The Reef is the icing on the cake for your children –
and for you! Our free on board programme for 2-17
year-olds is split into four distinct age-groups, so that
the needs and level of play in each group can be
met. Children can join in the fun, which gives them
the space to make their own friends and gain some
independence. Our qualified and enthusiastic DBS-
checked Reef Rangers have devised lots of creative
ways to keep little (and bigger) ones entertained
during the day and into the evening, leaving you free
to enjoy some much deserved time out!
TIME OUT
So now your children have made friends in the safe
environment of The Reef how about some well-
deserved ‘you’ time? You could lounge with a book,
relax in the tranquil spa or go for a swim in a child-free
zone (where you won’t have to fend off any dinosaur
lilos!) Come evening time, it could be an opportunity
to sneak off to the theatre; indulge in some retail
therapy; watch the sunset from the top deck; or go for
a meal… Uninterrupted. Yes, you did hear correctly.
The night nursery is a free service, open from 6pm-
2am
, but it’s very popular and spaces are limited, so
places are on a first-come, first-served basis. For your
peace of mind, you’ll receive a pager if we need to
contact you.
Opening times are approximate, see on board for full details
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Because our great value prices (even in school
holidays) include so much, you can relax knowing
everything is taken care of.
YOU CAN BRING EVERYTHING BUT THE
KITCHEN SINK
If you cruise from and to Southampton, there are
no luggage restrictions. So feel free to bring prams,
travel cots and armfuls of toys at no extra charge. Just
remember, it will all have to fit in your cabin!
NB: Travel cots can be pre-booked, subject to availability
SHARE THE EXPERIENCE
Cruising is a great way for families to get together
each year for a stress-free time. We’ve seen a rise in
the number of generational family holidays in recent
years. It’s a great way for everyone to try all that is
offered on board (compromise? what’s that?) as well
as enjoy great service and value.
More about the clubs…
So what’s included?
The children’s clubs are free,
available every day and early evening on a first-come,
first-served basis.
How do the groups work?
The Reef children’s club is split into four categories:
H2O (For teens: aged 13-17)
This is a cool, open-plan zone with cleverly defined
relaxation areas. In the seating area teens can chat,
lounge in wide window seats, listen to music or chill
on comfy bean bags whilst being entertained. There’s
table football/tennis – and to mix things up, interactive
games and discos are held in the evenings. Sports
coaching or talent shows are available during
school holidays.
SCUBAS (For tweens: aged 9-12)
There’s music, consoles and fun games in Scubas. With
dedicated stations for art and crafts plus after dark
there’s everything from discos and games to karaoke.
Sports sessions are also available.
SURFERS (For tiddlers: 5-8)
From imaginative play, to fun games and sports, there’s
plenty to wear out these youngsters. They also can take
part in outdoor play, board games, table top games,
and arts and crafts.
SPLASHERS (For tots: 2-4)
Ball pools, climbing equipment and soft play are great
for youngsters on the go. Puppet shows and creative
play make it a winner with children (and parents who
might need a breather every now and then!)
Occasionally the groups may be combined to 2-8 and 9-17
Remember when it was just
the two of you? Thanks
to the night nursery
you could enjoy a quiet
candlelit dinner, catching
up just like old times.
