Yellow Fever
An International yellow fever Vaccination
certificate is recommended on Arcadia cruises
JAB, JAJ, JBT for those guests planning to visit
Iguazzu Falls. This needs to be the original
certificate which must be fully completed,
signed and stamped by a Medical Practitioner.
The vaccination must be given 10 days before
entering a yellow fever area in order for it to be
effective and valid. If yellow fever vaccination
is contraindicated for medical reasons an
exemption letter can be issued by your Medical
Practitioner and this must be brought with you
to the ship. Local Port Health Officials will then
decide if a vaccination waiver can be issued. The
exemption letter should be written on headed
paper, signed by the clinician and include the
Practice stamp. Passengers without the correct
documentation will be denied boarding.
Malaria – There is a risk of malaria in the
following areas. You should seek advice from
your own medical practitioner or from a
recognised travel medicine clinic with regard
to your personal itinerary, including pre /
post cruise travel, as malaria advice and / or
prophylaxis may be recommended.
