g) Airlines have entered into codeshare
agreements, so you may find that one or more
of your flights is operated by their codeshare
partners. We will advise you if this is the case.
h) For long haul flights, if you have any special
dietary requirements, including child meal
requests, please advise us at the time of booking
or at least 7 days prior to travel. We are unable
to guarantee that all requests can be met.
i) Any amendment or cancellation made more
than 61 days prior to departure will incur a
charge of £20 per person.
j) Changes made within 61 days of departure
will incur both a £20 charge per person, and the
full cost of the amended ticket.
k) When you or your travel agent make a
booking on one of our fly-cruise holidays, you
may be offered the ‘Guaranteed Flight’ option,
which means that you will have a confirmed
booking, including flights, but the specific
UK airport will be allocated at a later date.
All people booked under the same booking
reference will be allocated the same flights;
however we may not be able to allocate the
same flights to every reference within a group.
Flights will be allocated to your booking at least
7 days prior to departure and the price you have
been quoted will not change. We will do our
best to allocate flights from your preferred UK
airport, but we cannot guarantee this.
l) If for any reason, upgraded seats are
withdrawn from a particular flight, any upgrade
supplement paid for that flight sector will be
refunded in full.
m) The cost of Government fees and taxes is
included in the price of your holiday (or for our
Exotic fly-cruises, the cost is included in the
Flights & Transfers option).
n) Baggage allowances start at 20kg but vary
by airline, route and class, and may not be
the same for all flights in your itinerary. Once
your flights are confirmed, you will be able to
view the baggage allowance on your Cruise
Personaliser. Please note that for charter flights,
your baggage allowance may differ from the
information on the airlines’ own websites.
Caribbean fly-cruises
a) We use reputable charter and scheduled
carriers, such as Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomson
Airways and British Airways.
b) The price of the holiday includes flights from/
to London on day of embarkation/disembarkation.
Departures from Manchester, Birmingham and
other regional airports are available on selected
cruises; details and flight supplements can be
found on pages 71-77.
c) Premium Economy seats are available for
an additional supplement of just £299 per
person return, or £149 per person on our one-
way Caribbean transatlantic crossings. These
upgrades can be purchased at the time the
cruise is booked, but are subject to availability
and must be bought on a return basis (with
the exception of transatlantic crossings). If, for
any reason, the Premium Economy class seats
are withdrawn from a particular flight, the
upgrade supplement for that flight sector will
be refunded in full. Supplements for Premium
Economy seats are payable in addition to any
applicable regional supplements.
d) On our Caribbean charter flights we offer
a baggage allowance of 23kg per person for
passengers travelling in Economy class, which
increases to 28kg per person for passengers
upgrading to Premium Economy class - please
note that the weight of each bag must not
exceed 23kg.
e) Flights to/from Barbados include
complimentary in-flight meals. Passengers
upgrading to Premium Economy also benefit
from complimentary drinks (excluding sparkling
wine and champagne).
Mediterranean fly-cruises
For our Mediterranean fly-cruise season, we use
aircraft from reputable charter and scheduled
carriers, such as Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomson
Airways, easyJet and British Airways. The price of
the holiday includes flights from/to London on
day of embarkation/disembarkation. Flights from
Manchester and Birmingham are available on all
sailings, other regional airports are available on
selected cruises; details and flight supplements
can be found on pages 50-53. The majority of
airlines do not include complimentary catering
on their short-haul flights. You will be able to
purchase snacks and refreshments on board the
aircraft. Flight upgrades on scheduled flights
are available 11 months prior to departure, for
an additional supplement. Upgrades are sold
subject to availability and are only available with
selected airlines.
When embarking or disembarking in Genoa,
flights will usually operate to/from Genoa.
However on occasion we may have to fly you
to/from Nice, Milan or Turin instead. When
embarking or disembarking in Venice, flights
and transfers will operate to/from Venice or
Trieste. If you are flying on embarkation or
disembarkation day, transfers will be provided.
Full details of air travel arrangements will be sent
to you as soon as they have been finalised.
The prices of Mediterranean fly-cruise holidays
shown in this brochure are detailed including
flights and transfers. If you choose not to take
our flights and instead opt for an air credit, any
flights you take will not form part of the package
provided by us and will not be covered by our
ATOL protection. You will also need to ensure
that you leave sufficient time in each case
to reach the ship at least 2 hours before the
departure time stated on your tickets.
Exotic fly-cruises
The prices of Exotic fly-cruise holidays shown
in this brochure are detailed including flights
and transfers; however a cruise-only option
is available so you can make your own travel
arrangements. If you choose to take our Flights
and Transfers option for your Exotic fly-cruise,
P&O Cruises will arrange Economy class flights
from/to London with reputable scheduled
carriers such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific
and Qatar Airways. Full details of air travel
arrangements will be sent to you as soon as they
have been finalised.
We also offer flights from alternative UK
regional airports subject to availability and
airline schedules. Departures from these
additional regional airports will be indirect and
may require an overnight stay either in London
or at your destination. The cost of overnight
accommodation will be at your own expense.
P&O Cruises reserve the right to change the
hotel provided for the overnight stay.
Flight upgrades are available approximately
11 months prior to departure, for an additional
supplement. Upgrades are sold subject to
availability. We can give you the flexibility to
explore further – you can book a stopover on
selected routes or, if you prefer, you can fly to/
from an alternative air city.
